How about a quick post before bed? Tonight, I went to the BodyPump Release #87…after a little convincing from Josh. I was going to take another day off from the gym and continue going through boxes in storage but, knowing BodyPump Releases were something I really enjoyed, Josh convinced me to take the night off. I’m so happy I did! More on that in a bit though.
For breakfast I had a bowl of Cinnamon Raisin Peanut Butter Overnight Oats but since I was out of bananas had it with raspberries.
For lunch I had some leftover chili from last night (that recipe will be coming to you this Fall or Winter), mashed cauliflower and roasted broccoli.
For dinner we had Crock-Pot Barbecue Chicken (look for this recipe tomorrow!) with mac n cheese and asparagus.
I 100% overate on this meal. Whoops! Mistake made…mistake realized…mental note made…and now I’m miss movin’ on. Sorry just had to link it! I really didn’t like the song at first but I heard it so many times on the radio (I’m driving a lot for work which means a lot of radio) that it eventually began to sound catchy and now…I must admit…I like the song.
I hadn’t been to BodyPump in a couple of weeks so I lowered my weights slightly so I’d be able to go back soon and not be sitting around hurting for days. I already feel a bit of soreness coming on but it’s the good kind of sore. BodyPump is one of those classes that makes me feel strong and powerful and that’s one of the reasons I absolutely love it. And, hey, being in a room full of people with three motivational instructors guiding you through a new release certainly helps, too . I loved all of the tracks and, oh my, the lunges were killer! No plyometrics this time – just straight lunges. My booty was on fire after those (and I most definitely dropped the weights on both sides after the 8 halves). Overall, it was a great release and I can’t wait to do it again!
Today I made a “happy list” – a list of things that I want to be working towards and, after a talk with Josh, kind of already am. I’m not ready to share quite yet…heck I probably won’t be ready to share for quite a while but I wanted to at least mention it. I was just feeling a little lost and didn’t seem to have a clear direction of where I was going and what I was working towards. So, I made a list of things I wanted (a puppy vizsla named Cooper was on it ) and have made a vague plan for the future and a more detailed plan for right now. It seems simple, and it is, but it has actually helped me to write my dreams down for myself and vocalize them to Josh a- I feel more empowered to fulfill them. Funny how the smallest of things can make such a big difference.
