Okay, I will slowly be recapping my Martha’s Vineyard adventures from Fourth of July weekend. I know I’m super delayed and should probably just forego reviewing everything but I had such a wonderful time and really want to document it. So, if you’re tired of reading about people’s Fourth of July activities feel free to just skip over these posts. I’ll be posting per usual in between reviews.
The only way to get to Martha’s Vineyard by car is via the ferry. We left the house around 6:30am and hopped on a 12:00pm ferry.
Josh and I walked bikes onto the ferry and actually got separated from the rest of his family in the car so we hung out for about 30 minutes after arriving in Oak Bluffs.
Once we were reunited and had met up with our hosts, Margo and Jim, we headed to The Atlantic for lunch. To start the meal there was bread with a delicious kalamata olive spread.
For my entree I went with the Mixed Greens salad and Clam Chowder.
My salad was dressed with a lemon thyme dressing that I definitely want to try recreating here at home.
And the clam chowder had a creamy cheesy texture that I loved!
After lunch we spent some time walking around Edgartown before heading home. It was the perfect start to our vacation
A Quick Workout
Sometime after lunch I took some time to myself and completed the Tone It Up Inner and Outer Thighs Routine, followed by the Tone It Up Bikini Abs Routine, followed by the Inner and Outer Thighs Routine again. (I’ve put the videos at the very bottom of this post!)
Shrimp tacos were on the menu for dinner, and Josh and I were given the task of making margaritas. Luckily, they ended up being a success even though we were pretty much just winging it with fresh lime juice, sugar, salt, triple sec, and tequila.
First we had lobster quesadillas.
Then we had the shrimp tacos – I had mine without a tortilla.
And lastly we had a strawberry shortcake with homemade whipped cream.
It was the perfect end to our first day of vacation! That’s all for day #1 in Martha’s Vineyard but I’ll be back with more reviews over the next week.
