Possibly Screwed – 5K

Guess who missed their morning run…

...yup, this girl did.

…yup, this girl did.

I’m feeling pretty guilty about it (and damn you old episodes of Psych that keep me up!).  I just couldn’t drag my butt out of bed.  So, I’m debating whether or not I should run tomorrow.  My first 5K is on Saturday and the furthest I’ve ever run is 2 miles.  Do I run Friday and try to build mileage?  Or do I not run and hope I can bundle all that energy up and just knock it out of the park Saturday night (it’s a PM 5K).  I welcome any advice!  As always, I’ll keep you guys posted, but this is probably going to be a walk/run kind of 5K.

I’m definitely going to take my 8K/10K/Half Marathon Training more seriously, but that’s another post for another time.

We have some catching up to do.  Last night Josh and I had Trader Joe’s Maryland Style Crab Cakes for dinner along with some green beans and potatoes.  (Josh had roasted potatoes and I opted for a microwaved sweet potato with a dollop of honey Greek yogurt and some cinnamon.

I also may or may not have most definitely had a ginormous chocolate peanut butter brownie.  Thank goodness Josh and I finished those off last night and now they’re out of the house for good.

Breakfast this morning was a Special K Sausage, Egg and Cheese Flatbread Sandwich with a banana…because it’s not a meal if it doesn’t contain fruits or veggies ;).

Later on I had some berries and a Nature Valley Dark Chocolate and Nut Trail Mix Bar.

Lastly, lunch consisted of the usual wrap with sliced apples and almond butter.

Any excuse to include almond butter!

Other Ramblings

Tonight Josh and I are going to a Greensboro Grasshoppers game along with my cousin Kate so I probably won’t be blogging tonight, BUT, you can find me on Twitter and Instagram!

Questions of the Day

Any advice on whether I should run or not tomorrow before my first 5K on Saturday?

Do you have a weakness during training?

Mine is most definitely sleep!  If I don’t get enough sleep I won’t get up to workout, and time with Josh, watching TV and just relaxing can often get me off track.  I plan to really work on this during 8K/10K/Half Marathon Training
