I’m back for a quick check in . Life has continued to be busy and this weekend was spent in Florida spending time with family, eating delicious food, and attending my first wedding dress fitting. I headed down to Florida on what happened to be National Donut Day (Friday)… so I naturally got an iced coffee and a donut for breakfast. After my donut I was motivated to finalize my packing and get Cooper over to doggy daycare.
I am always wary of airport outfits but I threw on this dress I had gotten from the Loft Outlet over Memorial Day Weekend and it was perfect for my travel day.
I got to the airport right around noon with plenty of time so I grabbed a barbecue chicken chopped salad from a California Pizza Kitchen “station” at the airport and ate about half.
My flight went smoothly and as soon as my mom picked me up we headed to Titusville (where my parents live) so we could meet my dad and hop on the boat. The first thing I do every time I visit them is stand on their balcony… they have the best view.
Our boat ride was certainly an adventure. We docked the boat at a restaurant and I ordered a fantastically fried basket of shrimp and onion rings.
By the time we finished dinner it was dark and that’s when the adventure really began. We had a good 2 1/2 hour boat trip back home in the pitch black. Thank goodness for GPS tracking. I was absolutely exhausted by the time we got home and went straight to bed. Waking up Sunday morning my mom and I decided to skip breakfast and opted for an early lunch at one of my favorites, Tijuana Flatts.
After that we headed to my first wedding dress fitting which, of course, I can’t share pictures from but all went well . I did my hair and makeup so I could see what it would sort of kind of look like the day of.
(I’ll be heading back for my final fitting in September.) Next up my mom and I ran some errands before heading to my aunt MaryBeth’s house for dinner to celebrate her birthday a few days late. We had steak, mashed potatoes and, with it, salad and breadsticks from Olive Garden. YUM!
I forgot to take pictures this morning but my dad made us his famous scrambled eggs before taking me to the airport. I was so happy to get a quick weekend getaway. I got back home right around 2:30pm giving me enough time to spend time with Josh and Cooper. Dinner tonight will be simple… pizza and couch time.
