WIAW #15: This Week’s Eats

Okay, I promised I’d pop in for a delayed WIAW so here I am!  We are still waiting to see if we will be bringing home a puppy this March…and I’m finding the anticipation and waiting exhausting.  I know that sounds silly but it’s draining – it’s ALL I can think about.  But, I’ll get onto the food already.  My eats have been pretty similar all week so here’s an idea of what I’ve been eating :) .

For breakfast I’ve been having 2 hard boiled eggs, some kind of veggie (sautéed spinach or leftover roasted veggies from dinner the night before) and plain oatmeal with a teaspoon of natural peanut butter.

As a snack I’ve been having non fat plain Greek yogurt with mixed berries.

And later in the day as my second snack I’ve been having carrots and hummus.

Lunch has been Shakeology shaken with almond milk and water with a banana on the side.

And dinner has varied.  Tuesday night we had steak burrito bowls which I mixed in a large bowl and decided just to eat from that.

Last night we were lazy and ordered pizza and wings.  I capped it at 2 slices of pizza and 3 wings…still probably more than I needed but I didn’t over indulge.

And tonight we had hummus chicken and Greek salads.

Lastly, I’ve had a little something for dessert each night.  Some nights it’s been a simple piece of dark chocolate with tea, other nights a spoonful of peanut butter, and one night I had a rice cake with natural peanut butter and chocolate chips.

…And now that I’ve seen this picture I might have to have a rice cake for dessert 😉 .
